Elizabeth Jane Hurley was an English model, actress, and TV personality who gained fame during the 1990s after she was Hugh Grant's girlfriend. I Kissed a Girl became an international number-one single due to its combination of titillation with a polished tune. It also helped her sell a number of albums, including The One of the Boys. The album's second single Hot N Cold also proving popular the album much of that Perry wrote herself eventually registered the sales of over three million copies within the United States.
